Never got around to posting this photo taken in January 2009 when we drove to Dallas to help Lori move in to her new apartment. Wow, it's been 4 months already. Sigh, we miss her!

Gerbera Daisy Cookies and Shortbread for Spring

Our bright new colors of spring in fucshia, lavendar and orange are getting me in the mood for warmer weather! Still in the 40's here in Pittsburgh but the temperature is on the rise, we may make it into the 60's this week. I'm thinking that we may begin to offer decorated cut-out sugar cookies at Country Cupboard Cookies, we're going to talk about it this week. Hmmmm, I'm picturing baby shower cookies, wedding monograms, birthday cakes with personalized messages, oh, and daisys!

I do love winter, the cold is actually invigorating, I always loved trips out west to ski, I love walks in the winter snow, I even used to ice skate a lot. Winter is beautiful when there is snow, but this "wintery mix" we are having lately in Western Pennsylvania, one day ice, one day snow, one day rain. Well, I'm ready for Spring! We baked up some sugar cookies today and decided, yes it was time to buy some new spring gift boxes and spring ribbons.

All in good humor, I know that there are those who really don't like Valentine's Day. Well, I wouldn't either if I was heartbroken. This is a tasty way to laugh it off, we asked everyone to come up with "break up " verses, the list is actually longer that the "romantic" list, and seems to be more fun. I guess we all need to laugh at ourselves sometimes. Hmmm, well, the cookies are all good and they all taste the same!
